Kill viruses with your best friend!
Games are more fun when you have someone to play with. When Stephanie O'Neil, Andy Schmitz, and I set out to make a game about immunology, we knew we wanted to use a multiplayer game to show how different types of immune cells work together to stop viral infections. One player sprays antibodies as a B cell to opsonize viruses in the body, and the other player phagocytoses the opsonized viruses as a neutrophil. Stephanie's beautiful graphics and Andy's delightfully charming user interface design make the game as much fun to watch as it is to play, which is great if you have more than one friend.
This game won an Award of Merit in the Student Interactive category of the Association of Medical Illustrators 2018 Salon.
